you do know the number doesnt refer to the light output? It refers to the color temperature.

DON'T PUT HID'S IN YOUR HEADLIGHTS!!!

That's stupid do to on our cars with the stock housings. For 2nd gens the lens is designed for that style of bulb and if you put an HID ballast in, you'll just scatter the light everywhere blinding more people and making less usable light. DON'T DO IT!

do the 9004-9007 conversion. it makes an AMAZING difference.

also, if you want even more light do the foglight's into running lights. they'll stay on then when your highs are on and make a huge difference there too. Just make sure to align your headlights afterwards or you'll be blinding traffic and pissing people off.

You don't NEED to get silverstars. I did the conversion on my DA, along with my brother's, and we just used the $15 set from wal-mart. makes a shit load more light.

honestly, take the 30-45 minutes and do both conversions. it'll make your light output so much better. My teg seriously looked like an airplane coming down the road with how much light I was making. it was amazing!

f all of the above. just get a set of JDM 1pc headlights.
it'll run you about $200 for everything, but damn the light output is amazing. it pwns all the other options listed above.

you'll have to do a little cutting and splicing with the wiring (or pay $30 for the password:JDM jumper harness, and the headlights will then become plug and play) you'll still have to cut and splice the wires for the foglights, but its simple.

plus, the car will look twenty times better with the 1pcs.

HID ballast arent really needed though. because i see people with DAs and they got HID kits and light doesnt scatter around its an ok brightness. but everyones own opinion.

I agree with Kuchtaboy...
I did all the same as him. But I wired my fogs to come on with the brights. (which is illegal in some states) but I also had them wired to the button. I didn't like when they were on by themselves... makes it look like Saturn headlights... (shutters, and throws up a little in mouth)
I have also bought the really blue 100w (or something like that) bulbs... yeah they were bright as hell... but i couldn't see shit!...

I have had a lot of different configurations...
9007s using silverstars with good fog bulbs, have been the best.
HID kits are unsafe for other drivers and probably illegal. I do believe they say for off road use only. I would hate to spend all that money on them and then get a ticket for them and have to remove them.
and i personally hate the look of JDM headlights.
HID retrofit is the way to go though... I plan on doing this in the future.

lol, I still had them wired to the stock switch, don't worry about that.

I just wanted running lights. i have my civic set up like that too. when it gets warm out, I'm going to wire them in like normal driving lights would be, so when the hand-brake it up, they go off. it'll be b.a. lol

Fogs and Brights on at the same time might be illegal, but I doubt anyone will notice.. My fogs never went off on my teg, and the only thing people said was "damn! that's a lot of light!"

One-piece headlights would be nice, but the cheap, easy way of doing it is this way... Not everyone has $200 laying around. Thats why i did it. :what:

and how do you not use a ballast in h.i.d.'s?....lol
