Yeah the 6 is alot heavier that the EVO, bet the driver was like WTF, nice backfire by the 6 :D

Mazdaspeed FTW! 2.3l DISI Turbo AWD vs. 2.0 Turbo AWD. Maybe if the EVO wasn't as aerodynamic as a shoebox it would have more luck:lol:

Before wrecking my 6i I was going to buy a speed6 or speed3
only thing that sucks about mazda is aftermarket support isnt there unlike honda/acura or even the evo/sti
plus Im not sure about the "speed6" but with the 6i tuneing is a bitch unlike the honda/acura/EVO/STI
plus performance parts really dont do much for the 6i but im not sure about the "speed6"
I know with the 6i I would need to give up a grip of $$$ to get a quick car

stock 6i is a little faster then a 93HB LS swap and i think he had I/E
I was dead even with my friend until i hit 5th gear and i pulled a little but not much and won

oh yeah 330 hp for the 6 wow he must have some $$$ in that car

Being a Mazdaspeed 3 owner, just adding an intake, downpipe, and 3" exhaust landed almost 40whp on the dyno. I don't know where your looking but there's tons of aftermarket support for mazda. You have racing beat, cpe, protege garage has an excellent selection of parts, auto exe makes the bomb shit for mazdas. As for the 6i, You have a little 2.3l in a huge sedan, now the 6s with the 3.0v6 is fast. I smoked a new v6 mustang with the mazda 6s rental we had all the way to 140. I will agree that for tuning you have to rely on stand alones such as haltech, aem, etc, but they are still very tunable and there handling is almost unsurpassed.

well Im not sure about the speed3/speed6 but for the 6i there isnt much aftermarket support
like there is for honda/acura/EVO/STI.
and by adding I/H/E to a 6i didnt free up much HP
where your speed3 you added I/E and got 40hp
and my friend has a 6s yeah there quick
but I mean sh!t might have change new companys might started makeing stuff and what not,
I havent had the mazda for a grip so I havent looked for parts or anything
for a mazda so I just speaking from past experience

Like I said before I was looking to buy a speed3/6 before wrecking my 6i but didnt(for a few reasons)
but there sick ass f*ck

Yea the 2.3l is a good motor if your going to turbo it. Cosworth does make some pretty sick shit for it if you got the cash but they are freakin expensive. I was trying to decide on getting a speed 6 or a 6s for a next car, I really want the 3.0l but then I really want the awd, I wish they would put the awd setup on the 6s.
