DB7ish '98 LS Build

Trying to sell my 14" LS webs now to put money toward my black and tan interior. Once, I get done with that I have some other stuff I want to work out:

1) Ordering some Cypress Green Pearl spray paint and paint my front bumper and 'fix' (more like patch) a few spots on my car.
2) Might try sanding my roof and paint some clear coat on it too (clear coat is entirely peeled off but still looks good in the rain lol).
3) Get a front lip and rear bumper aprons, and paint that as well as my sideskirt/rocker panels.
4) Paint my rims. Either white or a goldish/bronze color. Maybe black, but I don't think it would look good on my EP3s.
5) Possibly darken (not black out) my taillights except the reverse portion, with VHT Niteshades. Probably just do a coat or maybe two.

I know I want an SI style front lip, but I'm unsure of want color I want to paint it. They look great in black, but since theres not much contrast between that and the Cypress Green then I don't see much of a point. However, I haven't seen too many paint matched SI lips for some reason, so I don't really know how that would look. And I know I'll be doing my side skirts and rear bumper aprons body color, because I don't like how they look in black.

Actually black lip doesn't look too bad on a dark green Integra.

But body color looks nice too. Especially with body color side skirts/rocker panels.

True, it looks real nice on the red DC. Might not be as nice in Cypress Green, but should still look good. I might just wait until the end of the year and see how much a shop will charge me to paint the bumper, lip, sideskirts, and rear aprons. I know bumper alone is like $150-$200 around here. But the other pieces aren't too big so it shouldn't be too much more than that.

Yeah, that explains why I had a hard time finding pics of painted SI lips. I'll probably put it on while its black, while I get the paint for everything or save up for a shop to do it. Maybe it'll grow on me. But, I'm not really trying to conform to the norm. lol.

Well, I've been at a stand still with my black and tan interior, and kind of contemplating where I want to go with this whole car. Might just finally install my rear Tein springs (has a bit of a rake look now), paint my rims black and put a lip on it. Maybe I'll put my EP3s on craigslist and see if anyone is interested in trades. Not sure if I want to put my Speedzone rear spoiler back on or sell it. I might see if it works on my girl's Accord or not just for the heck of it. As always input and suggestions would be appreciated.

If you want to part ways with your speedzone, give me a text. Also integra and civic rims are 4x100, accords are 4x52

If you go bronze make sure it's a lighter shade, and I would add to that list painting that window trim

I'm not sure the DB rear window visor works on DC's. And yea, 4x100 for Civics and Integras, 4x114.3 for Accords, I think its 5x114 for Preludes.

For the rims? Yeah, I was thinking more gold colored but like a darker/bronzish gold. Not bright/yellowish gold. And yeah, I do want to paint the trim black but it would take forever to tape off the trim and I'm not sure what else I would have to cover to avoid overspray.

They don't, that's why the DB guys always have a hard time coming across one

Oh, did that cruise control cover ever make it to you?

Yep, just found it in the mail today. Thanks man, I really appreciate it. Just need to get a black airbag. Just opened a dispute on ebay with a vendor who was supposed to ship me one 2 weeks ago but never did.

Well, been thinking about it. Think I'm going to stay the course.

-Paint door panel inserts black
-Install the rear Tein lowering springs
-Paint the EP3s white
-Paint the front bumper
-Install front lip
-Install Rear Bumper Aprons
-Get new tires (205/50), since I'm rocking different sizes front and rear now and they are worn anyways.

Possibly:
-Paint sideskirts and rear bumper aprons, maybe also front lip
-Paint the roof. (Peeling horribly, clearcoat is gone after 17 years in the FL sun)

Decided to take advantage of my 3 day weekend and start painting my rims. Unfortunately, I decided to do so a week after selling my 14" stocks, so I have to do them one at a time. Well, 1 down, 3 to go.

I had put it off for so long because I don't really like paint work. Prepping takes forever, especially with these wheels since they were in rough condition. But I'm glad I finally got around to it. Can't wait to be done with them though.

I did like 4 coat of gloss white wheel paint, and 3 coats of gloss clear coat. I think it looks glossier than it is in the pic because it was in direct sunlight.

Damn those are bright. Find a good wheel cleaner, white wheels are a bitch to keep clean. Ask me how I know

lol. Yeah, I've had friends with white wheels. I've seen the struggle.

I'm gonna try to find some green lug nuts, if not maybe blue. I also have to get some new center caps, the ones on the these wheels are pretty roughed up. I might just paint them or something.
