:lol: Could be... They might have changed it in the 80s when the 1k/1100 were nearly identical. I'm just going off of the bikes I grew up around (my dads 76 KZ400, his friends 78 Z1R).

The 400 had a giant Kawasaki stamp and the 1000 had a DOHC stamp on the front cover.

^ Looked exactly like that one... I miss that bike. It sat outside and rotted away for a few years before and then he let my brother junk it for like $15 :cry:

I'm getting beyond pissed with this cbr, I can already say that I absolutely hate working on motorcycles, I'd rather pull the motor out an integra rebuild it and put the motor back in before changing chain/sprockets on a cbr. Going to post 2 pics that should beable to tell you what i'm trying to do right now. sorry if quality sucks my screen is shattered in 1 million different pieces so I can barely see what the picture is after taking it. Basically after taking off the extensions, Getting the brake caliper on with the wheel between the swingarm is impossible, When I get the brake caliper bracket in the swingarm I can't get the left side wheel spacers in the swing arm. Like the width of the swingarm is to small or something I literally can't get everything to fit in the swingarm at once..

So this is the rear brake caliper bracket I actually got it in the swingarm with some force


But once I get the brake caliper bracket on the left wheel spacer won't fit inbetween the swingarm. It's either one or the other both won't fit. I tried everything. No matter how much force etc I use I can't get it to go on


While trying to get a damn rear wheel on for 15 minutes a friend tried to call me and I missed it, I called him back he didn't answer, He called me back again in like 5 minutes and he wanted me to come pick him up cause someone started some shit with him and he needed a ride before cops got there but cops pulled up while I was on the phone with him and he was just like nvm it's to late i'm goin to jail. I don't know what's happening to going to happen with that but hopefully it's not to bad.

So spent damn near a hour already trying to get the rear wheel to just get where I can put the axle through it. I watched a youtube video and it's suppose to just all slide into place, literally. I tried 50 times to get it to all fit. But it f***ing won't. I think the swingarm or something is bent or something because I don't care how much force I use, Hammer it, Anything. It won't go on. I regret buying this bike everyday, Wish I never bought it i'd have $2500 in my pocket which i'll probably never get back from this pos bike

Fast forward to 2:00 in this video, That's how simple and easy it should be. But it's not happening on my bike no matter what... Time to roll a blunt and call it a night I wish someone would come get this bike for 2500

Gave it another go and this time somehow the swingarm is literally sliding off of the stand. It's moved like 2 inches forward on the swingarm and if it moves like another inch than this bike is going to the ground. I tried to pickup the bike by the swingarm with both arms and move the stand back with my foot but it was unsuccessful not sure what else to do. Hopefully it doesn't slide off the stand I guess. As soon as I got this chain/sprocket and stator installed. This bike is being posted for $2500

K6-k7 600-750 are two of my favorite bikes, The Gsxr's are very good quality, Suzuki also tunes them for the road so they're great for DD'ing

I've been doing a ton of reading lately and everything I read pointed to the GSX-R being the perfect bike for what I need. Signed up for gixxer.com as well. Good group of people over there. :)

Those things are f***ing pathetic. Before they came out I was reading about them out of boredom, and the 500 has half the power of an 883 Sportster, which has like 52HP, and it doesn't cost much less than a Sportster either :lol:
