Some questions and opinions on HID

:smackself: When you change a lightbulb, you have to get a specific wattage bulb, right? And how do bulbs show how bright they are? Wattage (W) in numbers: 25W, 55W, 100W, etc... Higher the number, brighter it is...

Dumb ass....
What's going to have a higher temperature, a 2.6GHz processor or a 2,268Mhz processor?

Notice how this is a car forum...? If I gave a damn about computer parts, I'd be on a computer forum.

You came to us with a bunch of retarded questions, not the other way around.

That's the point, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, I'm sure others would agree.

You supposedly have wisdom in cars.. good for you, please help out, because I won't call you dumb if you can't answer my question because you most likely don't know it.

And you are either on this forum to help people, or to get help, please stick with one....

Keep in mind that 55w may be too much for the integra wiring, so I suggest 35w hid's.

Fyi, GHz and MHz doesn't determine temperature, I have 2 aircooled Intels that idle at 30 degrees flat and only go to 46 degrees under full load, One is at 3.0GHz and the other is at 4.2GHz and the last pc I worked on from 1995 idled at over 50 degrees and it had a 1 GHz single core, Room temperature has a huge effect on the cpu temp as well.

Thermal paste and your heatsink/cooling system is your main factor in temperature, Not GHz.

But this is a car forum so no one gives a s***

Surely you would know that wattage of a light would be the same no matter the application.. just because its in a car doesn't mean that they aren't rated like a normal household light bulb. Wattage is the amount of power or work a device uses or does.

The hz/electrons that fly through the circuit/processor create heat via friction

Also guys, I'm 16, I'm sorry I didn't storm the beaches of normandy and lived through all the stuff you guys did and became so wise. Why can't you just answer the questions like Ganyon does, without insulting you.

Future people might look through these forum topics and get something out of it, but thanks to people like you guys, they have to read through the fights you guys create.

Thanks for your time

By "future people" you mean the ones that search for the answer of a topic that's been covered countless times?

Lemme get this straight... You think about other people researching a common topic, yet start a new thread rather than Google the question...?

I would rather ask here and get the question answered more specifically than google. Because when it comes to google its looking for the main topic, like "what does an alternator do?" It doesn't start to talk about what the alternator is made out of or other things that branch off of the main topic.

Also before looking for stuff to hate on, first look at the actual question being asked.

Alrite young buk let me set you straight. The reason people tell you to search is because they know the answers can be found because EXPERIENCE has told them that they can and have found the droids they were looking for. For such a basic question, it means you didnt even look very hard let alone hard enough, for basic information regarding HID. Obviously you dont have the experience or wisdom to know this so dont start telling people theyre approach to it/you is wrong. The very first sentence in your last reply translates into 'im too lazy to thumb through search results and i hope you guys will just answer or do it for me'. The internet is old business and that no longer flies anymore for the most part. I know, i was around in the days when it started and it was very accepted. The lesson here is to be more self reliant and use your resources. In ancient times there was an institution called a library where people had to travel to and manually search through relics of paper bound together with information printed on both sides. Guess what.. now you do the same thing but at your fingertips. Life lesson over.

Color temps with hid's are not the same as wattage. Its color. I'll give you the best example. What's food coloring do to water?

For those of you saying you like your stock's over hid's or you have hid kits... my lights s*** all over yours.
