Well I finally got around to getting some work done on Mia tonight. I removed the A/C evaporator and replaced it with the OEM heater duct.
First I unhinged the glove box

Then it was a matter of removing the glove box frame and removing all the screws holding the evaporator in and removing it.

The evaporator is out now so I weighed it

Then weighed the heater duct.

That means I shaved 5.95 lbs. I am now at 147.94 lbs removed.

I decided to wipe down the blower motor since I had it exposed. It's a little cleaner.

Here is the grommet that was around the evaporator and firewall, next to the new one.

Heater duct is in. I lost all of my light so that's all I have in terms of pictures. Working in the dark is fun...

I'm happy to have finally checked the A/C delete off my list and have it fully completed. The wiring will be removed when I strip the car for the RHD conversion.

My job is clean toilets
Do you currently DD the teg or is it just sitting there, getting ready to strip?
