I currently have a 98 integra LS purchased for $2500 with 220k miles on it. I would like to have an '09 S2000 which I've found somewhere between $12k and $15k with no special mods and lower miles.

So i'm trying to get some opinions on whether I should save up to buy the S2000 or if the integra would be better than the S2000 with about 10K in it. Keep in mind the milage difference because the integra seems like it needs new shocks, and has a leaky clutch and leaky power steering plus needs to be painted while the S2000 likely needs nothing but an oil change.

GSR/ITR swap or just get an RSX Type S. Depends if your going to just DD it or track it...go with the one that feels good to you man. Personally I'd chose to upgrade but I have love for both rides....especially R13's ITR.

If you put the money into the teg you will have a new car. Where if you get the s2k you are going to have to repair/maintain down the road. With that said I say s2k all day. Roadsters FTW! RWD>FWD

I used to drive an s2k for a year. It's a nice car but not something I can drive everyday. Integra all the way. The s2k would make a great project car though.

s2k i think is better over all unless you ever want more then 2 people in the car.

R13 has been lying to us all this whole time

There are a lot more things to think about than just RWD V FWD. The trunk is the s2k is almost useless. Do you live alone? Or just you and a gf/wife? 1 week of groceries will fit in the trunk of an s2k. Think average gym bag size.

Do you ever take more than one person around? Good luck fitting 3 people in an s2k. impossible.
The s2k is faster, sleeker, higher value. The Integra is better for a DD, getting better fuel econ (arguably), is larger.

If you buy an 09 s2k for 15k, which in my area, even with its low resale values is almost impossible, you can have something that you can still sell for 15k or more 2 years and 20k miles later. It will keep it's value. Even if you did a complete restore of a 98 integra, its still only gonna be a 98 integra with a lot of new stuff. We aren't talking a 98 ITR, we're talking plain jane 98 LS. you may be able to squeeze 4-5k out of it.
tl;dr
S2k: if it fits your lifestyle
Teg: if you actually use your car.

S2k.

The only reason I don't have a s2k now, is because I'm dumping 20k into my integra and buying a 19k RL with mods. I also have a motorcycle so I need a daily driver and a s2k wouldn't be good in the snow lol.

It's all good, I was using it as a good source of entertainment, I should be apologizing to you.

Well, I have a BMW 535i so my kids and groceries arent a concern. I just got this as a gas saver from A to B, but it has so much potential. I just wasn't sure if I should bother with it or work towards and S2000. I want one or the other to go along with my Busa. It seems like I need an asian import next to that bike, its like OCD, because a mustang, challenger, or lifted truck would seem out of place unless I had a Harley.
