Honestly don't remember :( It was on my 70-300mm. I think it was f5.6, between 1/1000 and 1/2000 shutter speed, and ISO at 100. Automatic WB. I think. lol, I kept changing shutter speed settings and apertures all day long

Nope nope, my secret is in the Photoshop. lol. Last time I was at T-hill I distinctly remember using 1/100 on my D3100 on Programmed Auto mode to get wheel spin.

Exactly how I felt on Saturday. I kept challenging myself to get faster.

Thunderhill Recap:

I took last Friday off to do some last minute preparations on DJ. I needed to change the oil and have the Kosei K1 Racing V2 wheels bored to be able to fit onto DJ's hubs. For those of you who are not familiar with the V2, the center bore were made specifically for the NB MX-5 Miata SCCA STR Class. Which means that the wheels had a 54.1mm center bore diameter compared to the 56.1mm for an Integra. Elton and I went to Geometric Machinery Co. to visit our friend Ed Jr. to have him bore out the wheels.

DJ on the lift getting an oil change and waiting to get her new shoes on. She was eager to get to Thunderhill to #maximumattack.

Before.

The first Kosei K1 Racing V2 before the boring process.

After.

Federal 595RS-R wrapped around the Kosei K1 Racing V2.

I really love how the wheels look on DJ.

If you ever wondered why I always use #920, it's because it's me and my girlfriend's anniversary date.

After unloading and doing a bunch of pre-checks, DJ was ready to attack Thunderhill.

A tiiite shot of me and DJ taken by Joe AKA XjoEnX.

DJ's JDM B20B heart did mad work without any issues throughout the day. Reliability at its best.

Katman from FFSquad let me borrow his GoPro HD to record some track footage. (Footy coming soon!)

After the 2nd session of the day, I noticed that the stickers were slowly starting to peel off. Not a huge issue, but it was funny since I just bought the wheels.

My PB of the day.

Update:

Before leaving for NorCal last Friday, I dropped off Lana (FG3) at Buddy Club USA for R&D work. With no daily driver, I was forced to drive DJ to work yesterday. Being only about a mile away from the office, I started seeing white smoke coming out of the hood. Then seconds later, the temperature gauge started rising, slowly heading towards "H". I was able to nurse her into the parking garage and quickly shut off the engine. I was late for a meeting so I decided to assess the damage later in the afternoon. So after work, I called AAA to have DJ towed to the shop (Raceline USA). After checking the engine bay thoroughly inspecting the engine bay for leaks, my buddy Alan AKA Big Bird saw a crack in the coolant bypass hose. After fixing that bit, we filled the radiator back with water and waited for the fan to kick in. After about 30 minutes, the engine started to overheat and it was clear to what the problem was. The thermostat was stuck closed. I was about to order a Mishimoto racing thermostat last night, but then I realized that I already had one someone in my "parts bin". I'm a bit worried about the motor, particularly the head gasket, but hopefully everything is fine.
