Im kinda in a bind...
I need my car fixed & smogged so I have transportation
to get to work...

1997 Integra 4door
Engine LS Vtec
Problems- Oil and Coolant mixed in radiator . I haven't checked the head if its ok , but for sure I know head gasket is busted. I can't get it smogged or even illegal smogged because my ecu isn't responding..

Plan A: go get a working ecu & illegal smog it for 150... but Id still need to get my head fixed etc.

Plan B: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/pts/3452371607.html pick that up and not worry about fucking with all that ls bullshit again >_<

can I get inputs on this?

Fix your lsv. You'll be way happier with it. I hate myself everyday for not saving a few more grand and picking up a gsr.

Ecu isnt responding....... because its an OBD1 ecu?
Get a OBD2 P72 ecu (they are cheap) and all the stock sensors etc so it can pass smog

And of course fix head gasket.

guy at smog shop said he can't smog it because my ecu isnt responding...
i dunno if the ecu itself is fucked .... probably gonna have to get a new ecu

Ah Im glad you posted that picture, it made my job alot easier.
You need a USDM OBD2 Ecu to communicate with the scan computer.

would i need to find the same ecu or can i go for a different one ?

someone from another forum told me my pcm is fried thus why the smogger can't smog

Its fried but it runs the engine perfectly fine? lol :what:
Google "JDM OBD2 emissions" and read about all the people who have failed emissions with JDM ECUs.

No you wouldnt need the same ECU. Any USDM VTEC OBD2 ECU should run the engine.
P72 would give you the knock sensor board and dual intake manifold function if you care.
