Need some opinions - Custom Colored SSR Type X Rims

last weekend i drove up to riverside, ca to trade my c8's for the ssr type x copies. i've always wanted these rims forever but could enver afford them... so some rotas will do for now til i can get the real deals.

so the problem is... they are black w/ a red lip and i really don't like black rims... mainly cause you can't see the design that well. I was planning to paint them bronze, advan gold, silver/alloy... but then i thought about the nice red lip. so i was kinda thinkin about painting the black part silver/alloy and leaving the red lip?

so what do you guys think? i need some opinions good or bad... flame on

id accually choose 1 of 2 option, none of witch are on ur list. for a silver car id do....
1: silver with black lip
2: silver with advan gold lip

hmmm i've never seen rims with a black lip... but it sounds different. the only other color lip i'd get is polished or blue... cause i have blue pearls... but i like the idea... :thumbs up

oh yea thats a good idea. silver with blue lip! now that would look hot!

these candy apple red ones look HOT!

I think if you go with the black lip, like speedin suggested, it would blend in to well with the tire, thus making the wheel size look like a 13" or 14" rim. I would do Advan gold with a polished lip so it can stand out more. If you do silver w/ a red lip would there be anything else on the exterior to match with the red.

i was thinking the same thing but actually no.. except for the tail lights... but then again i was thinking... if i do it right... i might be able to pull it off...

WHO KNEW RED GABS ON A EBP SI WOULD LOOK GOOD? until one guy did it and everyone else jumped on the band wagon... lol

anyways... these are jus ROTAS... so imma go wild and probably paint these rims a couple times til i'm satisfied... :lol:

i was on on my break yesterday and i was lookin @ my car... the black w/ red lip actually doesn't look all that bad... well i think imma go paint them today and give silver w/ red lip a shot
