Hey guys! New member here. I'm from right outside Scranton, Pa.
Anyway. Guess I'll give you the background. Not a newb with the Tegs. Got my First clean DC4 in 2003. I purchased it bone stock and it was your typical Champ white Type-R clone by the time I was finished. Got out of the game not long ago until we picked up a clean DC5 Type-S. But now I am back in a DC4 as I picked up a nice clean one to start wrenching on. With that, lets get on with some pics.
1996 Acura Integra RS.
Picked this car up with 180k miles on the engine for $1,700 after tax, title, and tag.
64yr old lady owned since brand spanking new in 1996. Dealer maintained every 3k miles and I know this to be a fact because she kept every single service receipt in chronological order.
PROS: Synthetic motor oil since 75k miles. New factory shocks and struts, New timing belt, water pump etc etc etc. Clean interior. No stains, holes or tears anywhere. Clean body. No rust whatsoever. After I changed the cam seal, valve cover gasket, tune up... I did a compression test. Got 180psi across the board perfectly. Mild turbo build is in this cars future.
CONS: Aftermarket sunroof installed. Not leaking and not bad looking for aftermarket, but I really want to get rid of the sunroof for a clean RS/Type-R roof. Milano Red paint is more of the Milano Pink paint. Minor dent on drivers side fender. Dirty engine bay. Leaking Cam seal. Clutch was a little worn out. But not to shabby for it being the original clutch. And that was it for issues.
On to pics now.
Pictures below are from right after purchase. Only thing I added to the car as you can see in the pics in a replica Type-R lip I had lying around from the previous Integra I owned.

Wheel arch... NO RUST!
Below is the only damage to the car. A dent on the drivers side fender. And a key scratch on the Drivers side door.

Here are some interior shots. Very clean. Some small wrinkling in the door arm rests. Will fix at some point or replace. Haven't decided yet.

Engine bay shots right after purchase. Dusty, dirty.
Engine bay shots after I replaced the leaking Cam seal with a Skunk 2 one. Brand new valve cover gasket and grommets. Stripped, cleaned and painted the valve cover and an old strut brae I had lying around. Took off the stock air box and installed a random aluminum intake tube I had with a K&N filter for now. Finished her off with a fresh oil change with Royal Purple. I think she looks better under there than before.
And I also picked up some new goodies for the transmission. Exedy Stage 1 clutch. Exedy 9.5 lb flywheel. Techni Fit Stainless Steel clutch line. Royal Purple Synchromax. Installed everything one weekend and now she shifts like buttah!
Don't really have anymore pictures to show as of now. I have made the tail lights all red instead of the 94-97 orange turn marker tails it had. I also traded two sets of stock teg steelies for a set of 2002 Civic SI (EP3) 15 inch wheels. They are better than the stock 14 inch steelies and hubcaps.
Figured while I'm here I will post some pictures of the DC5 Type-S.
It's a 2006 Type-S with the K20Z1 engine. Was bone stock when we got her last spring and pretty much still is. 50k miles on the engine. Clean clean clean. Not a scratch or chip believe it or not. Paid $15,000. Worth every penny.
Mods so far are minor. JDM Type-S badges. Password JDM hood dampers. Password JDM OEM yellow fogs. Buddy Club P1 racing extended ball joints.
When we picked her up.
How she looks today...
The rest of these pics are just random ones I took out of boredom of the Tegs if you guys want to check them out.
Well I guess that's it for now. Hopefully I'll have more cash to get moving on both these money pits.
Comments and criticism are welcome!
