Help! Car bogging at 4k rpm then died and no start

okay so i drove the car into town a few minutes ago, car ran fine, let it ide for warm up before driving.. got to the store.. left it running, went in for about 10 minutes came out... got in.. on my way back the car could not go over 4k rpm.. it would just shut down "not die" just bogg... made it home backed under the car port.. revved it slow up past 4k rpm.. revved fine, shut it off.. let it sit for a while now it will turn over but NO start. Fuel pumps kicking on,i checked for loose grounds or snipped wires, i havent done anything to the car recently besides checked some fuses under the steering wheel yesterday.. im going to continue to mess with it today, any ideas on what to check or what this issue could be? Do a full tune up, spark plugs, wires, rotar button and cap then you should be good unless you have a vacuum leak

well right before i got the car the guy had put he had put new ngk plugs in it and option distributor cap and wires on it.. i just took the plugs out and checked them all, took the dist cap off took the air filter off ect.. its been raining here like crazy but the cars under a carport but seems like it could have drawed dampness possibly so thats why i checked all those.. but still nothing, wont start ..
 
pulled the plugs out, cleaned them, started right up, but driving it still at 4k rpms and at 5 lbs of boost the car just shuts down until rpms drop then picks up, will not go over 4k rpm going down the road but at idle its fine, wonder if its the turbo... its tuned at 10lbs but once it hits 5 it shuts down... weird!! the plugs werent even really dirty,the only thing i did was yesterday pulled some fuses on the inside of the car .. could i have possibly reset or tampered the ecu/tune?

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS? ive been reading, people r saying possibly timing.. or tps sensor ect.. has anyone else had this similar problem..? vtec is set to kick in at 4k so i checked the solenoid seems good... its driving me crazy! Could the TPS sensor really be the issue? car idles fine, never dies or anything this just started.. seems like when the car got warm.. thats what makes me wonder if it didnt draw moisture somehow or get water sucked up through the intake... also am gonna check for a boost leak tommorow wouldnt see why that would stop the rpms tho and vtec..

Can't help u I know nothing bout boost still a noob there .but check your timing BC your cams have to be tdc and so does your crank. Could be your distributor its tuff to say. Gotta do the process of elimination

yeah im quite a noob at it all as well when it comes to integras i bought the car with the turbo kit ect.. guess ill try some more ideas and begin the process of elimination.

I'm experiencing a similar problem.I have a 95 Acura Integra, non V-TEC. My car feels like it wants to turn off here and there while driving especially at stoplights. I've had the fuel filter replaced about 2 years ago. Since I've owned the car I've only used Chevron or Shell gas. I recently had the spark plugs and spark plug wires replaced brand new last week. I had an oil change and oil filter replacement the week before. I took my car to the mechanic to run a diagnostic test and he told me that no codes popped up. I haven't changed the distributor cap/rotor nor have I replaced the air filter, but I plan on doing these sometime this week or next week. I'll let you know if that helps my problems that are similar to the ones you're experiencing.
 
so today i put some fresh gas and heet water injector treatment in it, and when i pulled out of the gas station it started running alot better.. made it past 4k rpms hesitated some at 5500 and 6000 but ran alot better i let it idle for a while hoping that maybe its circulating through.. any ideas? hoping maybe i just drawed moisture somewhere but where? i checked the distib.. the wires,plugs,i did however takee of the tps sensor and found a bit of water dripping out of it.. i cleaned it off .. NO CEL tho.. and it works because it comes on when you turn the key.. thanks
 
cool yeah man keep me informed i hope that does the trick for you... if not i would definitly check out maybe your tps sensor, does it idle funny or anything up down or just die sometime when your coming to a completle stop or when running? im still on the brink with mine, the car seemed to have ran better, probably going to put more fuel in it and run another bottle of treatment through it soon to see if this helps clear it the rest of the way up.

Had this EXACT same problem! right at 4k. it would shut off and not start for 15 min or so... It was the TPS in my case. sounds like its your problem too. A new one is like 40 bucks. your stock one will be put on with "non removable fasteners". take off the throttle body and carefully cut the heads to make them flat head screws. the new one will be hex key fastener. make sure you adjust it properly... good luck
 
yeah i still havent figured my issue out .. today i started it and put more fuel in it drove it around still cutting out at around 5k rpms now sometimes goes up past it tho to 6 or so and cuts back down... fuel filter? spark plugs look good, running rich tho..? map sensor or tps.. it did die on me twice as i was pulling into the gas station and pulling into my driveway.. ? seems like something electrical possibly too.. icm? its just weird to start happening out of no where..
 
well today i got a new dizzy cap/ rotor button plugs could not get the rotor button off for hell it was seized on there finally affter it broke apart i pried and pried and pried... and pried it finally came off.. i was being very careful .. so put on the new rotor button and then the new dizzy cap and put the new plugs in and went to fire it and it started for a second started missing bad, so i shut it off and then it wouldnt start... checked the firing order x5 and it was right, went to try out the old dizzy cap and one of my plug wires broke off into the cap.. going to get new wires tommorow.. could i have maybe messed up the coil in the process.. i? Going to pick up some new plug wires tommorow and go from there..
