Yeah I have CARB Exempt parts too. But I still got sent to the Referee. Cops are being trained to look for Illeagle parts, Some are chooseing to ignore CARB E.O. Numbers. Their excuse is that only the State Referee can determine if the part/ CARB number is ligit or not.

By sending the car to referee to dose put a dent in the street racing scene. The car must be removed from the roadway until you get it check by the State Ref. Police also claim it gets unsafe cars off the road or gets people to convert cars back to stock in fear of getting fines. Also its an easy way for the County/City to make money.

I knew that video was ganna get banned one way or another. This video was trying to show how "nice" the sherrif/local PD are handeling illegal street racing. I happen to be a law enforcemnt student. Im currently 1 yr away from getting my Degree. The video cleary showed how the officer profiled the car and issued a number of infractions. The lack of DMV issued front plate (5200 VC) gave the officer cause to pull over and further inspect the Civic. The Officer then claimed the exhuast was too loud. ( 27150, 2715, 27150.2 VC) then he said the car might also be too low (24008 VC). After that he said the car had Illegal engine mods (27156 VC). Again the video tried to show how officers try to put a stop to illegal street racing.

I got stoped 3 weeks ago. The officer I delt with was a real jerkoff. He claimed he had taken a training class to look for illegal modifcations. The officer claimed that all my mdofications were illegal. After I chewed him out and argued with him about my CARB numbers. He admitted to me that he didnt know for sure if all my mods were ligit or not and gave me a ticket for my MSD SCI box. Witch by the way is clearly labled with the proper CARB EO numbers. The officer then showed me a photo of a 90-93 Integra motor and pointed out why he thought my MSD system was illegal. ( Because the picyured told him so) Becarful my Cali teggys cops are being trained to look for mods and from what seems like to me they are not being trained correctly.
