DIY door insert install

Materials Needed

fabric
fabric scissors
some sort of adhesive, i used 3m trim adhesive
painters tape
flat head, or knife
phillips


pop out the tabs and unscrew the screws


unplug the door switches


unplug windows take the door panel off and rip off the fabric. use sand paper or your hands to clean up the door panel. use your existing panel for a template and use it to cut your new inserts


tape up the sourounding areas and door handle area (door handle tape should be tapped from back)


spray on the adhesive according to directions


line it up and use your flathead to press in the material into crevasses and take your time on that. Reinstall and holla at me youre done :thumbs up

not bad. i want do some fabric work to my interior but just havent found anything that makes me really want to. i was thinking red or a patterned black. great job

its good you just need sharp scissors or a sharp blade i dont know which recaro seats these are from but its a good fabric and is thick :thumbs up

Ya I started doing this yesterday. Theres green glue that takes a while to sand off. But now im thinking about doing patterns instead of just one color... hmmmmm...

thats the same exact way i did mine.. but i glued the fabric to the panel first and then cut to size.
