60mm exhaust

Ok, I am tired of seeing that the 60mm exhaust is 2.36". So I decided to take pics. I have mentioned before that the 60mm is the outside diameter of the exhaust and that it is smaller that 2.36". My RS*R Ex-Mag came for the Si yesterday, and I had my cheap $1.99 caliper that I got at Harbor Frieght. So hopefully after these pics show up people won't wonder if they should get a 2.25" or a 2.5" cat.

Some pics are a little dark, but oh well.

Outside Diameter = 60mm.... just noticed the cat hair on the caliper....


Inside Diameter = 2.25"


Inside Diameter of the tip = 3"

Nice. I loved that exhaust when I had it on my Gsr. It sounds great. Those measurements are proof of why metric systems are better. A 2.25" is smaller than meets the eye while a 60mm is a true 2.25". It's also the reason eBay 3" is only OD while my 3.15" has a genuine 3" ID
