What type v-tec head???

Ive got a 93 integra ls b18a1 non vtec and looking to do a vtec head swap. did some research and alot of people said b16 vtec head is the best and before i buy one i want to make sure and would like some advice. I know what i need to do to bolt it on and everything but whats the best type of vtec head for my car.
also looking to turbo in the future if that matters.

if converting a non vtec motor to vtec in a gen 2 is the same concept for gen 3, I'm pretty sure you cant just bolt on the vtec head and call it a day.. more input needed.. just sayin.. Might as well build the motor with solid parts instead and turbo it, then call it a week.. just sayin

I wanna do it too.. but I was thinking about boost as well.... based on other peoples opinions, do one, or the other, but not both.. But hey, if money isnt an issue, turbo'd k swap for max powa! lol

i prefer the gs-r head.

the GS-R head has "quench pads" - what these do is help with detonation - if you are building a high compression motor the GS-R is the way to go.

out of the three cylinder heads, the ITR has the best flow characteristics, then the B16, then the GSR - the GSR on the other hand has a combustion chamber that will increase compression more than the B16/ITR - more compression is more power

Considering they are the same casting I have a feeling your full of shit on that part.

you obviously havent done research on the subject. The ITR has a hand ported head and for the 98+ a machine ported the intake and exhaust. this allows for more air flow throughout the motor.

pretty harsh words for being wrong lol - no biggie though

96-97 ITR heads were hand ported by the factory, once the 98 model came - they used CNC technology to port the heads.

i have heard mixed reviews on which model is better - some say the 96/97 models are b/c they were hand ported, but CNC technology gave Honda cheaper cost to make them - and was more precise if comparing cylinder head to cylinder head flow characteristics.

Either way - the ITR head is the best hands down - but you pay around 1100-1200 dollars for a used one compared to 600 for a b16 and 700-800 for a GS-R
