B18a1 to B18b1 swap?

Well it's either rebuild my B18a, or replace it with a B18b..

I found a B18b that was "freshly rebuilt" on Craigslist. The guy wants $500 for it.

Should I take the chance and buy the engine someone else rebuilt?
Will I need to change anything like engine mounts, wiring, ECU?
Is this a good deal, or should I spend the $500 on rebuilding my own B18a?

everything should be the same. i think you need to reuse your intake manifold and stuff

b18a1 is the same as the b18b1
there are some minor differences but im pretty sure all parts are interchangeable

does he have proof of it being rebuilt?
receipts etc

Rebuild alone would cost more than $500. I dont think the listing you found is 100% true. If you see it, it better be super clean and have the had pulled so you can see the valves/combustion chamber. Better be immaculate.

I'm planning to go check it out, besides a compression test and looking to see if it's all clean, what else can I do to make sure that it's good..?
