Hey....

Has anyone had any dealing with Tiger Japanese? My son locked up his engine in his 96 GS-R and they have a B18C engine with low mileage. Are they reputable...I don't want to get screwed!...

Thanks

I got my type-r swap from them, no problems, runs just fine, ive had it about a year. hmotorsonline is great, my girlfriend got her b16 swap from them. HMO really dress up the motors before they ship them out. i.e. they repaint the valve covers and really clean it up. Tiger japanese just cleans the motor, I have had a good experience with them, but some others will say different. Tiger japanese saved me about $500 on the swap too. main reason i went with them.

6 motors ordered through them 0 issues. When I started buying from them all I read was "oh my motor arrived with broken sensors, blah blah blah" You will have that issue with just about anyone that ships motors, most times they are broken in transit. Anyone that has ever been inside of a place like UPS or FedEx can attest to packages not being handled with care at all. I personally never had any sensors broken on the 6 motors purchased. Each and everyone fired right up, and ran like all get out

Heres a list of motors me and my dad have bought through them

B20b (boosted made 302whp, still runs in another car 3-4 years later)
d15b (non vtec, had its brains absolutely beat in, im talking 8krpm all day every day, still running 5 years later)
(2) B18B (one did need a timing belt replaced at about 20k miles after install, but thats to be expected)
b16a
F20b

they are located in Toronto, I got my motors in 2-3 business days. They came wrapped tightly and sitting on a pallet

I bought my JDM RHD front clip from them. My friend bought a motor from them. and have issues with it (piston slap and bent valve).

Did you call them up? They offer the same exact warranty that places such as Hmotorsonline offer (startup warranty), i'd call em up and see what the deal is

He did call them and he has to pay for shipping on sending it back and then pay shipping again on another motor and the time he had to take the motor out he said screw that and sold the car a week later.

Thats shitty, but honestly thats pretty common practices amongs most companies these days. Hell I bought 1k worth of turbo parts from a shady shop in Florida. Never got the downpipe, manifold didn't fit. I had to pay to ship the manifold back before I could even file a complaint with my bank to get my money back.

Hi

I wanted to get some feedback on H Motors. Do you place a special order for USDM engines? I'm looking on the site and I don't really see any indication that the engines they ship are USDM or JDM. The reason why I want to know is because I live in CA and the emissions laws are pretty strict with what you can and can't do with your car.
