The true easy way is to get some on that does tint to remove it. B/c its a bitch trust my I tried it on my ae86, its hard b/c you got to try not to damage the heat line for whatever they are call, that heat on your back window!

yeah i never tried taking tint off but i would probably rather take it somewhere because even on regular windows from what ive seen it seems to look like a big hassle

A fast and easy way would be to take it to a professional. I would just do it at home, though. Use a steamer to loosen up the bond and then peel the tint back. You're left with the glue, but you can get that stuff off relatively easily.

Damn Tint

I had the shitty plesure of taking it off of my Civic twice because I did'nt learn my lesson the first time, cops are tough around here on that shit. Listen up, Windex w/alcohol in it and steel wool. Both can be found at Wal-mart. You need the Windex to moisten up the glue and the steel wool to break up the glue. Dont be iron man when rubbing cause you damage just a cunt hair of the defrost line you can kiss your r. defroster goodbye. And you cant just replace the defroster you gotta replace the whole r. windsheild. A shop will probably whack you $20-$40 to do it cause they dont wanna do it either and the Windex and steel wool are alot cheaper than that. So just be careful and good luck ! :drive:

id rather pay the $40 cause then if they fuck up its "look guys... you ruined my defroster. youre gonna have to replace it. that means ALLLLLL new glass buddy"

The steamer method really works. Just steam the spot you're about to peel (start at the top corner so it's easier), then use a razor blade to kinda flip it back a bit enough so you can use your fingers to start peeling the tint film back. When you get a good hold of it, start steaming the area ahead of where you're about to peel so the adhesive is soft. When you're done removing all the tint, there will probably be some adhesive left on your window. You can use Goo-Gone or something similar to remove the sticky stuff.
